Still Gina speaking here...Baby NiNi is better but still critical. Right now Baby is requiring breathing treatments, antibiotics, oxygen, and suctioning of her chest. They are still on to go to the consulate on Monday and receive the visa. Baby will stay hospitalized until the emergency medical transport picks her up, probably on Tuesday. Hopefully it will be a smooth ride home back to California. I know I'll feel much better when NiNi is back on U.S. soil and at Stanford. Keep those prayers coming!
We are following your story via the CCAIWCP listserve. Nini is so lucky to have you, and vice versa! Please hang in there, mama and baby! Everything will be OK once you get home! We were in Zhengzhou in August to adopt my Susannah, also a heart baby (repaired ToF). YISHA is the best!!!! She will move mountains to make things work out OK for you. She is a rock.
ReplyDeletethe Kry family is praying for you!

ReplyDeleteBonnie- I live in Nevada City and have four children from China. My son, adopted in 7/2007, also has TGA and had a fenestrated Fontan procedure at UCD (his Glenn Procedure was done in China when he was three)- he's doing great now. Gary Raff, MD did his surgery. If there is anything I can offer once you get home, please let me know- 530-265-6679 or 530-368-0996.
ReplyDeleteOne of my other children had open heart surgery at Sutter Memorial (Dr. Mainwaring did the repair- he's also associated with Stanford- he was fabulous). My thoughts are with you and your sweet baby girl- hope to meet you once things settle down.
Continuing to pray for your family. Hold tight you are almost HOME!

God brought your sweet little one to my heart as I met with Him first thing this morning. She is precious and I am lifting her health and healing up to the throne of heaven in the moments and days ahead. I will also pray for your strength as you comfort and care for her needs.
